The VR Evo Remote can operate plugged in, or wirelessly. This kit contains the new 2 in 1 remote control, and replacement control unit for the VR Evo range of winches. These are match-paired in the factory, and as such both parts need replacing for the new remote to function wirelessly. If the socket for the wander-lead is not easily accessible, the winch remote can be used purely wirelessly, without needing to be plugged in. The batteries in this remote are standard size, non-rechargeable. We recommend a good quality set of identical batteries when replacing these.
