Description Hand painted porcelain christening mug att. to Royal Worcester. Item 4033.This very pretty hand painted porcelain christening mug has been attributed to Royal Worcester, and dates from around 1870. On either side of the handle are hand painted sprays, one of flowers and leaves, and the other of strawberries and strawberry blossoms. They are closer to the handle than usual to allow room for a name or an inscription to be put between them. It stands 73 mm (3 inches) high and has a diameter at the top of 70 mm (2.75 inches). The condition is wonderful apart from a very fine firing crack inside the mug (ex factory).
